Sonic Drive In Restaurants In Minnesota

For years folks in Minnesota have wished there was a Sonic drive in they could visit to try the burgers, shakes and slushies that you see on TV.  Given the cold seasonal climate many wondered skeptically whether a Sonic could survive and be profitable in Minnesota.  Soon we'll find out because while in early 2008 there still were no Sonic restaurants in Minnesota a new Sonic drive in is open in the city of Elk River Minnesota.  There has been discussions of building a Sonic restaurant in Savage Minnesota as well.  The Elk River Sonic will be a smaller restaurant with no indoor seating.  A Burger Time restaurant was demolished and the new Elk River Sonic is being built on that location.  If successful you can likely expect to see Sonic restaurants all over the state of Minnesota.

Sonic in Elk River Minnesota is now open.  Very busy is an understatement.  You can find the Sonic Elk River at Highway 169 and Main Street.
